Terms
Little Lift provides optional donation prompts and accounting records for Shopify merchants supporting Meyer & Friends. It is not a payment splitter, donation custodian, disbursement service, tax-receipting service, or nonprofit directory.
- The merchant receives Shopify payouts and remains responsible for approved monthly remittance.
- The app is free to install and use. Little Lift retains 0% of donations for operating costs; your usual Shopify and payment-provider fees still apply.
- The current beneficiary is Meyer & Friends. Checkout-step donation prompts are not available in this release.
- This release supports donation collection in USD only; the store and current cart or POS session must use USD.

Meyer & Friends is the donation beneficiary. The IRS lists its legal name as MEYER AND FRIENDS, EIN 99-3514295, in San Francisco, California. The organization is recognized under section 501(c)(3), with an exemption ruling dated May 2025.

Using Little Lift
An authorized store representative must accept the merchant participation and remittance terms before enabling donation prompts. Keep account access secure, verify your setup, and obtain the customer's clear agreement before adding a donation.
You are responsible for the accuracy of store information, customer disclosures, any requirements that apply to your donation activity, and reconciling app reports with your Shopify orders and actual remittances. Little Lift's reports do not replace your accounting records or professional advice.
Funds and refunds
Customer payments are processed through the merchant's Shopify checkout or Shopify POS payment flow. The merchant receives the payout and remains responsible for remitting net donation totals to Meyer & Friends. Little Lift neither guarantees nor performs that transfer.
Handle a customer refund through the original Shopify order and payment provider. Only refunded Little Lift donation lines reduce the recorded donation total. Neither Little Lift nor a Shopify order confirmation provides a donor tax receipt or guarantees tax deductibility.
Pausing or ending use
You can disable donation surfaces in the app, remove its theme blocks and POS tile, or uninstall through Shopify Admin. Ending use does not settle donations already collected. Save the ledger and settle outstanding statements before uninstalling.
Meyer & Friends may disable donation prompts when a merchant materially fails to remit donations or misrepresents the program. Contact support to resolve discrepancies or request help. Service availability also depends on Shopify, your theme and our hosting providers.
